We are Grand Davo Crane Service and Terry’s Transportation. As a third-generation crane rental, rigging, and heavy haul service provider, we have serviced Southwest Michigan’s lifting and trucking needs for over 60 years. We have a wide variety of hydraulic mobile cranes from a 40 Ton Truck Crane to a 500 Ton All Terrain Crane and a vast fleet of specialized trailers (both purchased and manufactured in house) which include single drops, double drops, flatbeds, lowboys, and Landolls.
As our fleet expands rapidly, we are searching for heavy equipment diesel technicians to maintain and repair our all-terrain cranes, truck cranes, rough terrain cranes, semitrucks, straight trucks, and semitrailers in Kalamazoo, Michigan and Lafayette, Indiana. As a company, we value high quality from our personnel and our equipment to ensure we provide our customers with the best possible service, completing their jobs safely, effectively, and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
· Understand how each piece of heavy equipment functions
· Diagnose a wide range of equipment issues and computer fault codes
· Repair the diagnosed issues or codes in a safe and timely manner
· Perform equipment inspections at the designated intervals
· Maintain paper and computerized records on equipment services
· Work closely with crane operators and truck drivers to ascertain equipment issues
· Work closely with dispatchers to schedule downtime for equipment services
Expectations:
· Qualifying experience and/or qualifying education as a diesel technician
· Basic set of tools and toolbox/cabinet
· Class A CDL preferred but not mandatory
