Malace|HR is seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The qualified candidate will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and components in a commercial and industrial environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, load centers, and distribution systems.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical components up to and including 480 VAC 3-phase systems.
Maintain electrical wiring systems and components in compliance with the National Electrical Code and industry standards.
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
Diagnose causes of electrical problems or failures and identify necessary repairs.
Inspect, test, and evaluate electrical systems to ensure safety and efficiency.
Assemble, install, maintain, and repair electrical apparatus and equipment.
Operate and use required tools and equipment safely and effectively.
Plan layouts and wiring for new or existing installations.
Fabricate electrical parts and inspect completed work for compliance with specifications and safety codes.
Provide updates and status reports to supervisors and team members.
Clean, maintain, and service tools and equipment.
Respond safely and effectively to emergency situations.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Licensed Journeyman Electrician.
Minimum of 2 years of field experience troubleshooting and repairing commercial and industrial electrical systems.
Strong knowledge of electrical theory, methods, materials, tools, and systems used in the trade.
Ability to interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and specifications.
Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
Ability to operate a bucket truck (preferred).
Ability to obtain a Commercial Driverâs License (preferred).
Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Work Conditions:
Full-time position with a 90-day probationary period.
Work may require exposure to outdoor environments and inclement weather.
Role involves standing for prolonged periods, walking, lifting, carrying, kneeling, climbing, bending, twisting, crouching, and balancing.
Fast-paced, multi-tasking environment requiring attention to detail and adaptability.
